POC is computed from quality-controlled optical particulate backscattering measurements at the wavelength of 700 nm and quality-controlled chlorophyll-a concentration according to Koestner et al. (2022, doi:10.3389/fmars.2022.941950), Quality-controlled Photosynthetically Available Radiation (PAR) is computed by integrating the downwelling irradiance signal in the range 400 nm - 700 nm measured by the TrIOS Ramses hyperspectral radiometer for the downwelling irradiance and it is quality-controlled following the algorithm described in La Forgia and Organelli (2025, doi:10.1002/lom3.10701). The Euphotic depth is estimated as the depth at which the PAR reaches the 1% of its value just below the sea surface, according to Kirk (1994, doi:10.1017/CBO9780511623370). Before the computation of the euphotic depth, PAR profiles have been quality-controlled for cloud effects and wave focusing according to Organelli et al. (2016, doi:10.1175/JTECH-D-15-0193.1). The dataset of derived products is continuously updated in near-real-time as soon as new profiles are available.
